    Foreign Service Fellowships: Pickering, Rangel and Payne - Introduction and Overview (Session 1 of 3)

    This series of three workshop sessions will focus on preparing a strong application for the Diplomatic Fellowships:Pickering,Rangel, andPayne, which provide graduate school funding and professional development for individuals committed to a career in the U.S. Foreign Service: U.S. Department of State (Pickering and Rangel) or USAID (Payne). All workshops will take place via Zoom.

    These sessions are open to current students and alumni from all majors interested in careers in international affairs and/or international development (major or minor in International Studies/Political Science/Global Development not needed).

    ·        Tuesday, August 16 (5:00-6:00pm EDT): Introduction and overview of the diplomatic fellowships and career opportunities with the State Dept and USAID. Presenters will include Oscar Escobar, Emory alum and Rangel Fellow; and Michael Veasy, retired Foreign Service Officer and Senior Advisor for Diplomatic Fellowships. This session is open to any student or alum interested in learning more about these programs, as well as faculty and staff.
