Dear {{Preferred}},
We wanted to follow up on the communications you received last week regarding the spring semester announcement. Our aim in sending this email is to share registration information for spring, introduce new features that are being rolled out in the Course Atlas and direct you to advising and support resources.

Registration will take place during the week of November 16-20, 2020 for all students. You will register for your full schedule during one enrollment time based on your current class standing.

Please note: In contrast to previous enrollment periods, you will register for your full spring schedule during a single enrollment period, rather than over two registration periods. Your registration date is based upon your current earned credit hours. Earned hours does not include any courses you are currently undertaking, or courses for which you have outstanding or in progress grades.
Course Atlas Release and New Features
The Course Atlas will be updated with spring semester courses by November 2, 2020.
We are pleased to announce a brand-new feature in the Course Atlas for this upcoming registration period. Atlas CART is here! Atlas CART gives you the ability to log-in to Atlas and build your shopping cart in the Atlas and have those course automatically transferred to OPUS for registration purposes. In addition, you’ll be able to build back-up carts where you can play with scheduling options, view calendars of potential schedules, and launch registration directly from the Course Atlas rather than navigating through OPUS directly!
Atlas CART will be ready to communicate with OPUS on November 3, 2020 (when the shopping cart option for spring semester becomes available.) More information and how-to videos will be released closer to registration!
Academic Advising
A crucial part of the registration process is the advising process. The College has communicated with all of our faculty to alert them to the advising period. While some faculty/departments will have specific directions for advising, we expect YOU to communicate with your Major/Minor or Pre-Major Faculty Advisors to schedule appointments between Nov 2-13.
Additionally, general advisors are available through the Office for Undergraduate Education based on your last name. We encourage students with general questions, or who need additional advising support, to meet with a member of their OUE advising team. OUE advisors are available by appointment (through College Connect) or during virtual drop-ins through the OUE Virtual Reception on the following dates and times:
Monday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Tuesday: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Wednesday: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Friday: 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.
Our Virtual Reception is staffed from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday through Friday for general questions and queries. Alternatively, you can contact us via email at oue.advising@emory.edu.
Pre-Health and Pre-Business Advising will also be available before pre-registration.
Know that we are here to support you in your academic pursuits. Our team stands ready to assist you as they can.
Sincerely yours,
Shari Obrentz, PhD, Associate Dean, Office for Undergraduate Education
Dan Dillard, PhD, Assistant Dean, Office for Undergraduate Education
Steve Savage, Associate Director of Communications, Office for Undergraduate Education
