Statement of Responsibility

I understand that completion of this form indicates that I will be graduating at the close of the term for which I am requesting an underload. I understand that I am ultimately responsible for understanding what courses and how many credits I need to take in order to graduate. I understand PE does not count towards academic credit hours for graduation. To verify my eligibility for graduation, it is necessary for me to make sure that I have completed all College GERs and all requirements for my major. If I am receiving financial aid, I understand that I should consult with my financial aid advisor about how underloading might impact my award.

I also understand that I need to submit an Emory College online graduation application in order to be eligible for graduation at the end of my final term. The Spring 2025 graduation application will open in early Spring semester and I will be emailed detailed instructions to complete the graduation application at that time. I understand that final certification of my degree completion will be issued by the Office for Undergraduate Education.

I understand this request will take 3-5 business days to process and I will be notified via email once approved. If I have additional questions regarding this form I may contact College Graduation and Commencement ec.graduation@emory.edu
