Hi there, {{Preferred}}!
Throughout the summer, you’ve been reading emails, keeping track of the New Student Checklist, attending advising meetings, and now – you may even be done with course registration! (If not, you have until tonight at 11:59PM EST to finish enrolling in courses before the Add/Drop/Swap period opens on August 23.) That means, we’ve reached the point where it’s time to GET EXCITED that you’re joining us on campus in Atlanta later this month!
While there is certainly a lot to think about as you prepare, we’ll keep our advice simple: - Carefully read and review all communications from Emory’s Residence Life and Housing Operations, so that you know what to pack and are prepared for your Move-in experience.
- Familiarize yourself with the Orientation Week schedule. There are going to be A LOT of events to attend during your first days at Emory, so download The Hub's Corq App now for a detailed Orientation Week schedule (you’ll continue using this app throughout the rest of your time at Emory). You can also check out the First-Year Orientation website to screenshot the at-a-glance schedules.
- Stay up-to-date on Emory’s COVID-19 policies and practices. You can find the most current mask guidelines, screening requirements, and gathering restrictions on the Emory Forward website. For now, plan to mask up at indoor events on campus.
- Get Your Vaccines. Student Health will be at the Student Center throughout Move-in Weekend. The following vaccines will be available: Tdap, MMR, Hep B, Varicella (chicken pox), Meningitis ACWY and COVID (Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are available). If you need a COVID vaccine, please sign up here. All other vaccines - no appointment needed - just walk in!
- Last but not least, start to picture yourself in the amazing city of Atlanta! How do you want to take full advantage of this awesome city you're about to call home? Look at what's waiting for you!
